Cardborigami partnered with the LA LGBT Youth Center to hire homeless millenials for a temporary paid internship. The participants worked for Cardborigami for one month and assembled over 100 structures. For some, this was their first job and all of the youth were able to add this to their resume as verifiable work experience. Cardborigami provided the participants an educational component about the importance of our mission in order to encourage them and empower them to do better for themselves after participating. Finally, a financial planning workshop was led by a professional in the field so that participants learned how to get the most out of their paycheck. All of the participants successfully landed employment after the program.
